Now, Let's Try For The Positive.

I know, I know-- The album cover is another disappointment (read blog posts below). Jive is being cheap & very uncreative. Perhaps the blame lies in Britney as well. She may have not wanted to do an album shoot. Or maybe she did do an album shoot and Jive rejected the result of that photoshoot, just like they did with her video, Gimmie More. The complete truth is never clear in these situations.

We all know that whole world already completely hates this album cover-- So, let's get all this negativity off our chests & focus on some good.

Believe it or not, as important as marketing strategy is, maybe this horrible excuse of an album cover will show off Britney's raw talent-- her music. Britney's leaked songs are already getting rave reviews & are surprisingly winning over people who usually don't consider her music "good music." We are getting raw, in-your-face music from Britney for the first time. No promotion, no marketing stunts, no belly-baring advertisements, no fake interviews, no selling out-- Just Britney as she is.

Don't get me wrong, all those things are great because I love when our girl's face is everywhere and published in every magazine-- But, if you think about it-- I mean really, really think about it, Britney, whether she cares about this whole issue or not, is promoting her album in the most honest way possible. No fireworks. No gimmicks. Just her voice on a CD.

I'll agree with most of you on one thing: it is insulting for Jive to do this. However, in the end, I think we're gaining something that is far more significant than any album cover-- and that is Britney becoming a true recording artist.
